Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains, in accordance with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP, in force since 1 September 2023), how personal data is processed in connection with this website.

2. Principle: data minimisation

This website is deliberately built so that as little personal data as possible is generated: without your consent, no cookies are set and no analytics tools are loaded, and there is no user registration. Your choice in the cookie notice is stored only in your browser (local storage), not as a cookie. Fonts and videos are served directly from our hosting. No fonts are loaded from Google servers.

3. Hosting (Vercel)

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you access the site, Vercel processes technically necessary connection data (in particular IP address, date and time of access, browser type) in so-called server log files in order to deliver the site securely and reliably. This involves a transfer of data to the USA; Vercel relies on recognised safeguards (standard contractual clauses, Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).

4. Contacting us

The contact form sends your details (name, email address, topic, message) in encrypted form to our email address. For delivery we use the email service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA), which delivers the message via servers in the EU (Ireland) and processes it for that purpose only. We do not store anything on the website itself. If sending is unavailable, the form opens your email app instead. If you contact us via the form, by email or by phone, we process your details solely to respond to your request and delete them as soon as they are no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Google Maps

A Google Maps map (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC, USA) is embedded on the contact page. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and device information. If you would rather this didn’t happen, you can skip the contact page. You will also find our address in the legal notice and in the footer.

6. Google Analytics

Only if you agree in the cookie notice do we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland / Google LLC, USA) to understand which pages are used and how. Google then sets cookies (_ga, _ga_…) and receives usage data such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, device and browser; Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Advertising features, Google Signals and personalised ads are switched off. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google relies on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer; we then delete the analytics cookies and no longer load the tool.

7. Donations

For donations by bank transfer or TWINT, we process the details transmitted by your bank (name, amount, payment note) solely for proper bookkeeping as part of the association’s accounts and to meet statutory retention obligations.

8. Your rights

You have the right to information about the personal data we process about you, and to have it corrected or deleted, unless statutory obligations prevent this. To exercise these rights, contact info@ikvsh.ch. Complaints may be addressed to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

9. Changes

We may amend this privacy policy as needed. The version published here applies. Last updated: October 2026.
